Three hundred years ago, the Great Cataclysm broke the continent of Valdara into a thousand pieces, sinking it under the waves of the Nameless Sea and creating the Broken Archipelago: hundreds of scattered islands where there were once cities, mountains and plains. The currents of the sea preserve the magic of the lost continent - the magic of the tides that the ancients practiced - and those who learn to listen to them can bend the ocean at will. In this world of salt and wind, pirates are uncrowned kings, naval empires extend their claws, cultists of the abyss invoke horrors from the depths, and explorers search for treasures and secrets buried under the waves. Three centuries after the Cataclysm shattered Valdara, the Shattered Archipelago is ruled by pirates, rival empires, and abyssal cults. Tidal magic still flows through the sea, granting power to those who can wield it. A legendary Trident, said to control the seas and challenge even the sea God, lies hidden on a shifting, storm-wracked island. Many factions hunt it for their own ends. The players, drawn into the race, must navigate treacherous waters, ancient ruins, and rising horrors—before the blade reshapes the world again.
